This blog was set up as a requirement for the digital photography class I took in 2009 at St. Louis Community College. The blog is linked to a photo storage site where the class assignments were posted. I immediately liked having a blog and started posting. I have taken film classes and posted some papers I wrote about films. In 2013 the web site Digital Media Journey was built. I have lately been taking art history classes. Black and White Assignment

Macro or Getting in Close
I needed to read the instruction booklet to learn how to use the macro and super macro functions on the camera. Wind was a problem for the outdoor flower shots. Without a tripod, moving the camera after focusing was a problem. Choosing which area to focus on was a challenge. I quickly realized I was using a camera and not a microscope. I backed off a little more and got better pictures.
