I got a few photos that converted to interesting black and whites in photoshop. I think I prefer to work in color.
This blog was set up as a requirement for the digital photography class I took in 2009 at St. Louis Community College. The blog is linked to a photo storage site where the class assignments were posted. I immediately liked having a blog and started posting. I have taken film classes and posted some papers I wrote about films. In 2013 the web site Digital Media Journey was built. I have lately been taking art history classes. The image of the windmill below will link to my web site.

Landscape Assignment
This week we're taking landscape photos. For all the thousands of photos I've taken over the years I have very few good landscape images. If there is no barn, windmill, lighthouse, or boat, I usually don't bother taking the picture. Here is one of the better landscape images I've taken on my trips and I put in my book.

Photo Story
This week the assignment for my digital photography class was to take a series of photos that tell a story. I took photos of of two crews widening Olive Street. Keeping out of the way of the workers and standing only in safe areas are real important. It reminded me a lot about how I used to take photos of Texas ranches back in the 70's. Here is a page from the book I wrote about the trips I've made.
